Industry supplier alphabroder (PPAI 156993) has stepped up to affirm its commitment to the professional development and success of the promotional products industry through higher education with a Platinum-Level pledge of $120,000 to the Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF) Tomorrow Fund. The news was first announced in a Breaking News alert on Monday.

“This commitment to the PPEF fund is in appreciation of everything our industry has given us at alphabroder,” says Norm Hullinger, CAS, CEO of alphabroder. “We are thankful for PPEF’s commitment to education, and pleased to be a small part of the amazing work they do on behalf of the promotional products industry.”

The Tomorrow Fund was created 16 years ago as a means to ensure ongoing funding and support of PPEF scholarship programs promoting education and achievement within the promotional products industry. It allows companies and individuals to pledge donations annually over a six-year period. More than 35 industry companies have stepped up to support the fund at the Bronze ($12,000 total pledge), Silver ($30,000), Gold ($60,000), Platinum ($120,000) and Diamond ($240,000) levels.

PPEF Board and Fundraising Committee member Wayne Greenberg, MAS, president of JB of Florida, Inc.—A Division of Geiger, recently met with alphabroder to establish the scholarship. He says, “The board of PPEF couldn’t be more pleased with alphabroder’s donation. There’s nothing better than a leading supplier giving back to this great industry. Thank you to Norm Hullinger and his team for their vision and generosity.”

Funded by PPAI and donations from the promotional products industry, the scholarship program enables youth and professionals to continue their education on a collegiate level. The Association and industry patrons have a long-standing commitment of service to the promotional products industry, and this fund supports those who demonstrate the same commitment.

In 2016, PPEF awarded $150,000 in academic scholarships and since its inception in 1989, has awarded more than $1.56 million in financial assistance to 926 recipients. The program will award $175,000 in scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year.
