Finally, there’s good news for U.S. employers and their employees: nearly half of workers are satisfied with their jobs. The Conference Board’s Job Satisfaction survey reports that job satisfaction is at its highest level since 2005 and U.S. workers’ positive attitudes toward their jobs have increased every year since 2010. Polyconcept, parent of suppliers Polyconcept North America and PF Concept, has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an investment group led by Charlesbank Capital Partners, LLC, a middle-market private equity firm. Equity for the transaction will be provided by Charlesbank, Polyconcept management and certain other investors. Lee Strom, vice president of marketing and CMO of supplier SanMar, has joined the PPAI Board of Directors, effective immediately, to fill the seat vacated by Bruce Perryman, MAS+, who has stepped down. PPB Newslink June 28: In Memoriam: PPAI Hall of Fame Inductee Steve Slack

Stephen E. Slack, a 1992 inductee into the PPAI Hall of Fame and member of the PPAI Board of Directors from 1977 to 1981, passed away June 25 in Winter Park, Florida. He was 78. Slack was instrumental in the relocation of the Association from Chicago to Dallas in 1977 and moving the annual trade show to the city. He served as vice chairman for two of his four years on the board; additionally, he served as chair of the PPAI Membership Services Committee for two years and was a volunteer on several other committees throughout his career. PPB Newslink June 23: PPEF Awards $150,000 In Scholarships This Year

The Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF), the industry’s nonprofit founded to recognize and encourage scholastic excellence and academic performance among promotional products industry employees and their college-aged children, today announced the 102 recipients of $150,000 in academic scholarships. Since it was founded in 1989, PPEF has awarded more than $1.56 million in financial assistance to 926 recipients. Read More »
