Marketers Question Social Media’s Effectiveness But Continue To Invest

Few marketing leaders—3.4 percent—would say social media contributes very highly to their firm’s performance, yet by 2021, it is expected to account for 20.9 percent of marketing budgets. Digital Media, Television Buoy U.S. Ad Market In January

Advertising demand overcame economic uncertainty to surge upwards in January, climbing four percent year-over-year in Standard Media Index’s (SMI) data. Leading Economic Index Points To Continued Growth

Despite declines in December and January, the U.S. economy is expected to continue showing moderate growth in the near term. The Conference Board Leading Economic Index declined 0.2 percent in January to 123.2. January’s decrease followed a 0.3 percent slip in December 2015 and a 0.5 percent increase in November.
