R.S. Owens & Co., Inc. (UPIC: RSOWENS) has inducted Ed Murawski, maintenance manager and 28-year veteran with the company, into the R.S. Owens’ President’s Club. The recognition included an all-expense-paid trip for two to the Academy Awards.
“I am thrilled that our maintenance manager, Ed Murawski, will be attending the Academy Awards this year,” comments Scott Siegel, MAS, president and owner of R.S.Owens, which manufacturers the Oscar statuettes. “The Motion Picture Academy generously provides us two tickets each year, which enables members of our team to walk the red carpet and be part of the experience of a lifetime.”
Murawski is credited with single-handedly keeping the R.S. Owens factory open during the February 2011 snowstorm that brought most of Chicago, Illinois, to a stand-still. He was awarded the company’s employee of the month honor and was second quarter’s Above and Beyond winner.
“Ed was stunned when I told him he was chosen this year over the other winners of Employee of the Quarter,” says Siegel. “Ed has worked exceptionally long hours on several occasions over the past year when Mother Nature or the electric company has challenged our business operations. I can’t wait to see photos of Ed in a tux!”
