Building Social Media Skills And Effectiveness On The LDW Agenda
![]() |
The RAC Leadership Development Workshop (LDW) is designed to educate and equip over 180 volunteer leaders with information they can take back to use right away in their regional association. Not to mention the networks and connections developed among the 28 regional associations within the promotional products industry. Planned for June 22-25, 2011, in Grapevine, Texas, LDW features a relevant and engaging general session, breakout discussions and idea-sharing activities.
Social media is one of the most powerful marketing tools available today. LDW will feature a pair of insightful sessions on integrating social media. Presented by Dana Zezzo, CAS, vice president of sales at Pro Towels Etc (UPIC: PROTOWEL), these sessions will examine how to develop social media skills at your association.
The session “Social Media For Regional Associations” will examine how an association can best engage, recruit, retain, interact with and attract social media to benefit its events, activities, education efforts and tradeshows. Participants will walk away with new and better ideas on how to use social media to promote their associations and an arsenal of tactics and tips to improve their social media presence.
In the session “Social Media Strategy = Results,” Zezzo will discuss how social media fits in among the other elements of an overall communications strategy. An association can realize powerful results when its communications strategy is effectively matched to its goals. This session aims to educate participants on how to best evaluate social media and the wider online universe from their association’s perspective and how to take a strategic approach on their communications plans.
