Register With The Consumer Product Safety Database Before March 11
Specialized Technology Resources (STR), the leading quality and safety testing organization, is encouraging suppliers to register with the newly formed consumer product safety database before March 11. This database will serve as a repository for consumer complaints about potentially dangerous products.
Suppliers can register at www.saferproducts.gov.
By registering and establishing an online business account, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will be able to contact companies quickly and securely regarding reports of harm concerning their products; companies will then have up to 10 days to respond with comments before the reports of harm are posted in the database. Companies that register with the CPSC are better able to proactively respond if an issue comes up regarding their products. It gives companies more opportunity to protect their brand.
By registering now, companies can participate in this “Soft Launch” to test internal procedures in anticipation of the database’s official launch on March 11. For more help from STR, click here and complete the online request form.
