St. Cloud, Minnesota, supplier Fields Manufacturing (UPIC: FIELDS) acquired the name Animal Fair and selected inventory from Princess Soft Toys. Minneapolis, Minnesota, supplier Animal Fair (UPIC: ANMLFair), a division of Princess Soft Toys, and the parent company both closed on June 11 after 45 years in business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Animal Fair’s plush line is of the finest quality, and we look forward to adding it to our Fields family of products,” says Matt J. Bertram, president. “We had not been in plush before and had been looking for an acquistion for the past two years.”
Fields will continue supplying the line after the initial inventory of bears and zoo animals from Animal Fair is depleted, Bertram says.
“All of it was made in China. We do the imprinting and decoration,” he says. “We have maintained a relationship with the manufacturer in China.”
