This month, PPAI recognizes Leslie Roark, CAS, president of distributor member PromoPros headquartered in Spring, Texas, as the May PPB Volunteer of the Month. Those selected for the honor have dedicated their time to the progress and fulfilling the charge of a committee, advisory group, work group or task force on which they serve.

Roark serves on PPAI’s North American Leadership Conference Work Group, the PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference Work Group and the Awards & Recognition Committee. She was nominated by Stacy Riddler, PPAI manager of professional development.

“Leslie is a valuable leader in this industry who continues to commit her time and dedicate herself to various volunteer roles each year,” says Riddler. “She has provided excellent insights and valuable input that has been instrumental in helping create and implement programs.”

Riddler adds, “Leslie is a true champion of the PPAI North American Leadership Conference, the PPAI Women’s Leadership program and a true supporter of PPAI’s professional development programs overall. She is a role model and an absolute pleasure to work with.”

Among the impressive list of Roark’s qualities offered by Riddler were constant champion, collaborative mindset and professionalism.

The PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference Work Group supplements the work of the Professional Development Committee for the PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference.

PPAI is looking for the next PPB Volunteer of the month. The Association is looking for someone who:

  • Is a current member of a committee, task force or advisory group
  • Demonstrates an exemplary level of volunteer contribution
  • Is a positive example to others
  • Contributes in a constructive and positive way to volunteer activities
  • Collaborates well with others
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the topics and work
  • Presents a positive influence during interaction with a group

Nominations may be submitted by current members of a committee, advisory group, work group or task force, as well as by PPAI board members or PPAI current staff. The nominations will be forwarded to PPB magazine. Those selected for inclusion as PPB Volunteer of the Month will be announced and featured in a PPAI publication as well as the quarterly Volunteer Newsletter.
