On January 25-26, the Promotional Products Expo, formerly the Trade Only National Show, welcomed more than 2,000 distributors to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, UK. Now in its 11th year, the expo’s trade-show floor featured 200-plus exhibitors.
The exhibit hall kept things interesting with the introduction of new products, a treasure hunt and giveaways. Alongside the action on the show floor, the education lineup featured the Industry Insiders speaker program—a series of 30-minute talks from industry leaders.
More than 700 suppliers and distributors attended the PPD promo party, which was held on the evening of the first day. Embracing the setting of the Ricoh Arena’s Grosvenor Casino, it featured a Vegas theme.
In 2018, PPExpo will be replaced by a new show, Resellex, which will run January 14-16. The new event will see several additions to the PPExpo format, including an extension to three days to allow for an industry conference and more education. The show will also welcome additional resellers of personalized products on the first day, while the second day will be aimed at core promotional product distributors, and day three, the conference day, will give distributors the opportunity to invite their clients.
