Richard-Massey-PRSDelivering an industry perspective at the 2016 PPAI Product Responsibility Summit, Richard Massey, SnugZ USA corporate counsel and legal and regulatory affairs director, is joining the speaker lineup to share his thoughts on what to do when a field investigator from a federal agency arrives—unannounced—on industry members’ doorsteps. Drawing from real world experiences, his session will focus on being prepared, knowing what to say and having the right paperwork on hand.

A member of PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group (PRAG) and the Quality Certification Alliance’s Compliance Committee, Massey has for the past five years specialized in FDA regulations and compliance relative to Food, Cosmetics, and OTC skin care products. Prior to joining SnugZ, he practiced personal injury and corporate labor law in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he still associates with a Las Vegas firm. Additionally, Massey serves as a member of The American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Committee.

The 2016 Summit, to be held September 18-20 in National Harbor, Maryland, brings together the experts and expertise to highlight the importance of product responsibility in today’s economy and how it can differentiate businesses from their competition and keep them on the right side of the law.

The Summit includes two days of education featuring distinguished speakers, industry thought leaders and representatives from product safety labs and product certification groups. All Summit attendees will also receive a binder containing a wealth of information including best practices, protocols and resource materials based on the five pillars of compliance. Seating is limited but reservations are still available, so register today to secure a spot.
