PPAI staff gather with supplies donated by HPPA Hot Stuff Expo and SAGE Show attendees and exhibitors to aid those affected by the recent floods in Louisiana.

Industry members and companies have stepped up in support of those affected by the recent flooding in Louisiana. Last week, at the Houston Promotional Products Association’s Hot Stuff Expo in Houston, and The SAGE Show in Irving, attendees and distributors together donated two pallets worth of items for flood relief.

PPAI business partner Group Transportation Services is working with HPPA, SAGE and the Association to transport the pallets to Tammy Cormier, owner of distributor Trinity Promotional in New Iberia, Louisiana, who is the acting point of contact for the product donations and will see to their distribution.

Representatives from the Business Recovery Fund (BRF), supported by PPAI and the Regional Association Council (RAC), have reached out to 244 companies located in the affected area to let them know that funds are available to help them recover. The first step is filling out a needs assessment form and e-mailing it to brf@ppai.org. Responses are typically sent in fewer than five business days. The BRF has already received at least one request for assistance.
