MGM Resorts International has long-term plans for updates and improvements for its Luxor and Excalibur properties in Las Vegas. Jim Murren, president and CEO of the company, recently spoke on the future of the two hotels, both popular with PPAI Expo attendees, in an interview with the Las Vegas Sun.

MGM Resorts previously announced that it would be refurbishing and renaming its Monte Carlo hotel, converting it into two properties—Park MGM Grand and NoMad Las Vegas. The renovations are scheduled to begin this year and wrap by the end of 2018.

Following the $450 million renovation of the Monte Carlo, Murren says the company plans “a tremendous amount of investment” in the Excalibur and Luxor. Both hotels, however, are expected to keep their names.
