Supplier Stahls’ (UPIC: STAH0001) celebrated the grand opening of its new 24,000 square-foot facility in Irving, Texas on November 19 with an open house followed by hands-on learning workshops.

Executive Chairman of the Board Ted Stahl and his wife, Mary, were on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony along with Stahls’ team members and more than 100 customers and representatives from the local business community.

Attendees had the opportunity to check out the facility, get acquainted with Stahls’ staff, network with colleagues and industry professionals and enjoy refreshments. Afterward and for a full day on November 20, classes were held in English and in Spanish on topics ranging from heat printing basics to creating vinyl-cut logos and targeting specific heat transfer markets.

Plans to open a Dallas-area facility have been in the works for several years. “As soon as we realized how successful our Arizona location was, which opened in 2009, we started seriously considering a regional training and educational center in Texas,” says Stahl. “In October 2014 we opened our San Antonio location and were just waiting for the right property in the Dallas area.”

He adds that Texas is the No. 1 sports state and, as a result, personalization products are in high demand. “We have always had a very large customer base in Texas and we wanted to serve these customers better and faster. We will be able to stock and ship many products from this location, including Hotronix heat presses, which will allow customers to get the items they need faster.”

Stahls’ Texas will also offer ongoing education and training for reps and customers, a showroom and a warehouse where nearby customers can pick up orders.

Stahls’, a GroupeSTAHL company based in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, specializes in the development, manufacturing and distribution of heat printing technologies. It has facilities located throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
