The PPAI Expo has been recognized as the 55th top-ranking U.S. trade show on Trade Show Executive magazine’s 2014 Gold 100 List. The rankings, published in the magazine’s October issue, are based on a three-part, same-show comparison including show size, growth and attendance as well as innovation, social media practices, green initiatives, global participation and economic impact. The PPAI Expo has been ranked as one of the leading trade shows of the Gold 100 since the list’s inception in 2007.

PPAI Executive Vice President Bob McLean and PPAI Director of Expositions and Meetings Darel Cook attended the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 Awards and Summit in Dana Point, California on October 22-24. McLean says, “The Gold 100 not only offers timely and relevant education about new practices and trends in the trade-show industry, it also allows PPAI to network with and establish relationships with tradeshow executives from some of the largest shows in the country. These relationships will create opportunities for PPAI personnel to be able to call on these experts for advice and counsel. I find the Gold 100 to be an invaluable resource for PPAI.”

This year’s Gold List reviewed trade shows held in 2013. As North America’s largest international promotional products trade show at a million-plus square feet, in 2013 The PPAI Expo brought 10,850 distributors under one roof and featured nearly 3,300 industry companies, representing every category of promotional products, exhibiting in 3,100 booths at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas for a total of more than 19,265 participants.

“The Expo has consistently been ranked in the top tier of all U.S. trade shows for more than 15 years,” says Cook. “The ranking is a testament to a growing industry that values the quality work done by volunteers and staff to produce a top notch event each year.”

Earlier this year, Trade Show Executive named Expo East as one of its 2014 Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 for growth in exhibit space and exhibitors in 2013. The magazine recognized the top 50 performers in the categories of exhibit space, exhibitors and attendance based on the percentage of growth from 2012 to 2013.

The PPAI Expo 2015 will be held Sunday through Thursday, January 11-15, 2015, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Register now.
