Newton Manufacturing Company (UPIC: NEWTON) brought its sales representatives and supplier representatives together at the Newton, Iowa-based distributor’s National Sales Meeting & Trade Show at Charleston, South Carolina’s Wild Dunes Resort, September 14-18.
The event, “Wild About Charleston,” began with a reception and dinner for more than 100 Newton representatives, guests and employees. At the dinner, the company recognized and celebrated the successes and longevity of many of its sales representatives.
“Wild About Charleston was a huge success,” says Molly Beavers, Newton’s senior marketing manager. “Our sales representatives left excited and energized for the year ahead.”
Newton Manufacturing staff and sales representatives led a number of presentations and peer-to-peer discussions during the sales meetings on the tools, products and efficiencies to help representatives grow their business. More than 45 promotional product suppliers showed the latest and most popular products on the market.
Beavers says, “Charleston is certainly a wonderful city, but our supplier partners are truly what made the event such a success. Their contributions and the information provided certainly equipped our sales representatives with what they need to wrap up the sales year strong.”
Sales meeting attendees also toured downtown Charleston, took group carriage rides and visited some of the area’s restaurants. Beavers adds, “We value the relationships we have with our sales representatives and suppliers. We see them as extended family and events like this just strengthen the connection. It’s our intent that they know just how valuable they are to us.”
