The British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) is hosting the U.K.’s first Promotional Products Week, September 16-20. The week’s activities are intended to raise the industry’s profile in the country.
In support of BPMA’s Promotional Products Week, association members will be provided with a designated logo and promotional pack, and will be encouraged to participate in a number of events during the week to engage with their clients and prospects. BPMA is also running a series of advertisements and features in various media to promote the event.
Gordon Glenister, director-general at BPMA, says: “Promotional merchandise is far more than just a freebie. Used correctly, it delivers powerful and positive advertising messages, as well as a thank-you. In fact, our recent research showed that branded gifts can deliver a higher or equal return on investment than most forms of advertising.”
Also part of Promotional Products Week is the BPMA Design Awards Competition, which features original promotional product ideas from undergraduate design students and a dinner at the House of Commons hosted by Brian Binley, MP.
