On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens survived a blackout and the San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl at New Orleans’ Superdome. And while millions tuned in for the action on the gridiron, almost as many were watching for the Super Bowl’s commercials, when advertisers pull out all the stops to make an impression on the game’s audience of an estimated 108 million viewers.
Supplier Gildan Activewear (UPIC: GILDA381) was among the companies taking advantage of consumers’ enthusiasm for the big game’s advertising. Its ad, aimed at an audience between the ages of 17 and 30, supports its move into the retail market.
