This week the Fort Worth Convention Center hosts the inaugural SAGE Show and Education Day, beginning today and running through Thursday. The event replaces the 22-year-old MAPPS by SAGE show, traditionally held in late summer or early fall.
Today the SAGE Show begins with the same high-quality professional education industry practitioners have come to expect from The PPAI Expo. The education program, produced by PPAI and running from 9 am to 4:15 pm, features more than a dozen courses, all of which earn attendees PPAI professional certification credits. The SAGE Conference runs alongside the education sessions, offering a full day’s lineup of SAGE-based courses such as “Online Security—Is Your Company Safe,” “Building the Perfect Presentation in SAGE Online” and “How to Start a Company Store for Your Clients.”
Wednesday begins with a 9 am keynote presentation from Barbara Corcoran, founder of The Corcoran Group, author, real estate contributor to NBC’s “Today Show” and panelist on ABC’s “Shark Tank.” Corcoran’s keynote, “How To Build A Business – Using Innovation, Branding, Leadership And Guts,” draws on her experiences building a multi-billion dollar company and shares ideas and insights on building a thriving business and brand in today’s marketplace.
The distributor-only tradeshow floor opens on Wednesday at 10 am with more than 300 exhibiting companies. Following the show’s close at 4 pm, attendees and exhibitors are invited to the SAGE Mixer/Reception at the convention center, and later to the PowerofTwo Party at Fort Worth’s VICE dance club.
The final day of the SAGE Show is open to distributors and their clients. Client visitors will wear identification badges that also include their distributor hosts’ information. Paul Bellantone, CAE, PPAI president and CEO, will start the day with a presentation on Promotional Products Work! Week and share how the industry is an indispensible part of integrated marketing communications strategies.
The SAGE Show will also play host to a group of students and professors from Texas Christian University’s (TCU) M.J. Neeley School of Business. PPAI Executive Vice President Bob McLean is participating in the professional mentor program at the Neeley School, and has invited the group from TCU to learn more about promotional products and the Association.
