In a deal just inked today, Sparks, Nevada-based supplier Castelli North America Inc. (UPIC: Castelli) has named Fran Ford as president of the company effective immediately. He replaces Maurizio Castelli who will remain as CEO.
Ford, who most recently was senior vice president for supplier J Charles Crystalworks (UPIC: JCHARLES), previously worked at Castelli from 1993 to 2002 when he left as president/partner to pursue other business interests. Since August he has been engaged in a four-month contracting project with Castelli and today confirmed a three-year agreement to lead the company.
He will continue to work out of his Phoenix, Arizona, office but will spend most of his time at company headquarters in Sparks.
Castelli North America, Inc., a privately held corporation and division of Bergamo, Italy-based Lediberg S.p.A., has been manufacturing Italian-styled appointment books, planners, journals, notebooks, padfolios and related accessories for the North American promotional products and retail marketplaces for nearly 20 years. Its 40,000-square-foot Sparks, Nevada-based facility houses sales and sales service, warehousing, distribution, customization and fulfillment.
“I have a great sense of pride as to how the company has grown,” Ford told PPB Newslink in an exclusive interview. “The team that they have in Sparks is phenomenal. We are really looking forward to The PPAI Expo and are planning to launch some very exciting things in Las Vegas.”
In addition, Castelli announces the following personnel changes: Susan Seymour has been named the chief information officer; Curtis Grotting has been appointed as general manager; Pat Fiorina has been named eastern sales manager; Eileen Martin has been appointed national sales coordinator; and Twila Way is now the manager of customer services.
