BIC Advertising & Promotional Products Announces Leadership Change


Last Friday, BIC Advertising & Promotional Products, the promotional products division of BIC Group, announced a change in leadership as first reported in PPB Breaking News. Nicolas Paillot, CEO, is leaving to pursue external business interests as of December 31. Edgar Hernandez, currently the general manager for developing markets, will assume leadership of BIC APP on January 2, 2013. To assist with the transition, Paillot will remain in a consulting capacity through March 2013, primarily focused on the European business.

Hernandez, a BIC veteran of more than 24 years, has held several management positions on four different continents, ensuring a well-rounded and broadly experienced view of the business. He has successfully led his business units to double-digit growth in large part due to a customer service-focused approach to business. Prior to the establishment of BIC APP, he was responsible for the promotional products business in developing markets, which include Latin America, Asia, Australia and Africa. He lives in Easton, Connecticut, and works out of the BIC USA headquarters.

Since April of this year, Emmanuel Bruno has been vice president and general manager of Norwood & BIC Graphic North America (UPIC: BIC). Bruno has played an integral part in the merger of Norwood and BIC Graphic, leading the operational restructuring to the current organization of three Manufacturing Centers of Expertise. He is based at the company’s headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, where he and his family reside. Bruno will continue leading the North American operation and will report to Hernandez as part of the BIC APP leadership team.
