Industry Companies Make The InformationWeek 500

InformationWeek has released its InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the country’s most innovative users of business technology. A number of companies participating in the promotional products industry are on the list, including InnerWorkings (UPIC: corpedge), Maritz (UPIC: MARI0002), Proforma (UPIC: PROFORMA) and Staples, Inc. (UPIC: AMER0016).

“The InformationWeek 500 has recognized the most innovative users of business technology for 24 years, and this year’s innovations were particularly impressive,” says InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. “What the editors looked for are unconventional approaches—new technologies, new models, new ways of grabbing business opportunities and solving complex business problems with IT.”

The InformationWeek 500 recognizes companies that have realized a significant improvement to their operations through the application of business technology. The listing is open to U.S. companies with revenues of $250 million or greater and that have completed an application examining their business technology strategies.

InnerWorkings’ place on the list recognized an enterprise-wide platform it created to integrate its own systems with those of its vendors, customers and partners. “This application is a sophisticated technology capable of communicating with external customers across a multitude of formats,” says Don Baker, chief technology officer at InnerWorkings. “It provides extensive monitoring capabilities, is highly scalable and saves InnerWorkings and its vendors, customers and partners significant time, money and staff resources. We are honored to have this work recognized in the InformationWeek 500.”

Greg Muzzillo, founder of Proforma, says: “We are very pleased to be included on the InformationWeek 500 list. We have invested in making substantial improvements to the technology platforms we offer our franchise owners. Our goal is to help our franchise owners create an online presence that is modern and professional and easy to manage.”
