The 2012 Motivation Show To Include PPAChicago-Sponsored Distributor Day
The 2012 Motivation Show will feature a Distributor Day hosted by the Promotional Products Association of Chicago (PPAChicago). Held on the last day of The Motivation Show, which runs October 23-25 in Chicago, Illinois, the event is open to qualified promotional product distributors.
“We’re very excited to partner with The Motivation Show again this year to help our members grow their business,” says Lisa Shayne, incoming president of PPAChicago and Illinois sales manager for Hit Promotional Products (UPIC: HITP0001). “This Show represents the ideal opportunity for our members, along with distributors from throughout the Midwest, to learn the latest incentive and recognition program strategies and see the newest brand-name merchandise being used in successful programs.”
The Distributor Day program will feature professional education, face-to-face meetings with exhibitors, and networking opportunities. Attending distributors will also receive free parking at McCormick Place, free exhibit hall admittance for them and their customers, free education sessions, a free lunch at the IMRA Café and a networking reception.
In early October, LeeAnn Schumacher, director of supply chain management at the Summit Group (UPIC: summit), will host a webinar titled “How To Maximize Use of The Motivation Show.” Kicking off the Distributor Day program, it will provide pre-show tips and guidelines, suggested tools to bring to simplify your life, the do’s and don’ts of walking the exhibit floor, and what to do after the Show with the information gathered.
Education sessions at the show will include “Incentives and the Promotional Product Business,” presented by Sean Roark, CPIM, co-owner of PromoPros (UPIC: ppros); and “Premium Incentive Buyers are Promotional Product Buyers (and vice versa),” presented by Paul A. Kiewiet, MAS, CIP, CPC, executive director of the Michigan Promotional Products Association.
“We look forward to hosting PPAChicago members and other qualified promotional product distributors from throughout the Midwest region who want to learn how to increase business and expand their product offering,” says Pete Erickson, managing director of The Motivation Show. “There are hundreds of brands represented on our exhibit floor, and they are anxious to talk business with consultants who can help them reach more end users and increase sales.”
