Distributor Newton Manufacturing (UPIC: NEWTON) has announced their board of directors has accepted the resignation of the company’s president, Lee Cochran. Former president and current chairman of the board of directors, Mancil Laidig, will serve as interim president as the Newton, Iowa-based company looks to fill the position. The company did not disclose the reason for the resignation.
“I am excited and looking forward to renewing old friendships and developing new ones with all of Newton’s sales partners and industry affiliates,” says Laidig, a 30-year industry veteran.
