The PPAI Code of Product Responsibility Conduct gives industry professionals a tangible presentation that can show clients what they are doing to meet end buyers’ expectations for product safety and social and environmental assurances. To further its reach and communicate its values throughout the product chain, the Code is now available in Mandarin Chinese.
The Code is a statement of principles that a supplier can hand to a distributor and a distributor can hand to an end buyer when an end buyer expresses those expectations. Offering the Code in Mandarin is a step in ensuring these principles are recognized regardless of where a promotional product is manufactured.
Many end buyers, particularly larger businesses, have already adopted their own codes of product responsibility conduct. They contain remarkable similarities, many drawing from working condition standards that have been put forth by various governmental and nongovernmental international entities. Typically, they include statements on environmental, safety and quality commitments.
