Chuck Sandford with Take Charge Indy
Maribeth and Chuck Sandford, owners of Union, Illinois-headquartered supplier Bag Makers, Inc. (UPIC: BAGMAKRS), entered their personal racehorse, Take Charge Indy, in this year’s Kentucky Derby. Take Charge Indy started the race strongly, but when he sustained an injury, jockey Calvin Borel slowed their pace and brought the horse in at 19th place.
