Editor’s Note: Returning home from The PPAI Expo, a number of attendees wrote to share their observations and experiences at the industry’s largest tradeshow and professional education opportunity. Here is a sample of the correspondence PPAI received.
Thank you, PPAI, for facilitating such a fantastic Expo. I was super excited to meet everyone in the industry and see the vast variety of promotional products. I’m a network engineer for a government contractor, so I don’t know anything concerning the commercial or business world, much less the promotional products industry. I had no clue that people would have such a positive response to my new lanyards. I received a lot of good advice from pros in the industry, and everyone was so excited to see me join the show even though I had such a primitive booth.
I now have a great list of manufacturers/marketers/distributors that are willing to assist me, and it seems as though the community is anxious to see my new tech lanyards more widely available to the promotional products industry. I’m so overwhelmed right now in the most optimistic way possible. Thanks again, PPAI.

PPAI should be proud of the 2012 Expo experience; the show was great. The education sessions and speakers all did an excellent job, and the staff was extremely attentive and made everyone feel special. And it was a pleasure to watch Paul [Bellantone] and Bob [McLean] in their new roles.
While the Wednesday night awards ceremony is in need of some tweaking, I couldn’t have been happier with the Thursday Chairman’s Dinner to recognize the Hall of Fame inductees, Distinguished Service and H. Ted Olson Humanitarian Award. It was a magical night.

PPAI put on a great show in Las Vegas. I had not attended a PPAI show before and was blown away. It was the most productive show I have ever attended for our industry. The overall feel of the show floor was very welcoming, and the effort and friendliness showed right away from the PPAI staff through to the vendors. I did more business with vendors then I have at any past show. I was not even an hour into the show before I called my partner to let her know she needed to attend in future years. Thanks to everyone who made it such a success for our company. I look forward to the next.

Congratulations on a terrific 2012 PPAI Expo. Despite the early show dates, The Expo seemed busy with strong attendance. iPROMOTEu had nearly 200 affiliates in attendance. We had packed, high-energy participation at all of our events, especially our “Thank You” Reception on Wednesday evening. And thank-you to Paul Bellantone for taking a few minutes to speak to and welcome our affiliates and guests.
