R.S. Owens & Co., Inc. (UPIC: RSOWENS) welcomed members of the media to its facility on December 13 to demonstrate the Academy Awards’ famous Oscar® statuette being made. Each figure is hand cast, polished and plated with 24k gold by the company’s employees. R.S. Owens president and owner, Scott Siegel, MAS, hosted the visiting media, who were joined by Alderman John Arena of Chicago, Illinois’ 45th Ward, on the tour.
