Women’s Executive Network (WXN) has named Monica Channa, executive director of operations at Akran Marketing (UPIC: AKRAN), to its 2011 Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 list. The WXN is a Canadian organization working to support the advancement of women in management, executive, professional and board roles, and recognize their leadership and professional achievements.
The Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards span nine categories: Scotiabank Corporate Executives, KPMG Professionals, CIBC Entrepreneurs, Xstrata Nickel Trailblazers & Trendsetters, WXN Foundation Champions, TELUS Future Leaders, Sun Life Financial Arts & Communications, Accenture Corporate Directors and Norton Rose OR LLP Public Sector Leaders. Channa was recognized with a CIBC Entrepreneurs award.

The awards were presented at the Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Summit and Awards Gala at the Allstream Centre in downtown Toronto on December 1. The event featured speaker sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
