Imprint Plus Takes Home Two Golden Image Awards From The 2011 SGIA Expo
The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) awarded two of its Golden Image honors to Richmond, British Columbia-based supplier Imprint Plus (UPIC: imp8687) at the 2011 SGIA Expo, held October 19-21 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
At the event, Imprint Plus was presented with the Andre Schellenberg Award, a best-in-category distinction, for the sublimated, heat-transferred name badge it created specifically for the Dallas Zoo. It was also received the Honorable Mention Award for its 10-color IDS Canada logo in the Metal Signs/Products category.
“Our team of designers is truly excellent,” says Imprint Plus CEO Marla Kott. “Our work was compared to all the top companies—and we were highly commended for our effort. I am extremely proud of all our employees.”
SGIA received 353 entries, representing more than 66 companies, in the 50 categories of the Golden Image awards. They were judged at the 2011 SGIA Expo, scrutinized on their technical accomplishments, level of difficulty and quality of execution.
Johnny Shell, SGIA’s vice president of technical services, says: “The judges had a very difficult time this year, not because of the sheer volume of entries, but because of the overall quality of the work. Judges in virtually every category told me the entries were so good that choosing winners was a real challenge.”
