Augusta Marketing Products’ Jobs In A Bottle Program Seeks To Spur Job Growth
Doing its part to spur job growth in the U.S., Augusta Marketing Products (UPIC: AUGUSTA) has launched its “Jobs In A Bottle” initiative. The Houston, Texas-based company has partnered with Erie, Pennsylvania supplier CPS/Keystone Line to market products specifically made in the U.S.
Bill Turney, MAS, executive vice president at The August Group, says: “This should not be a game of chicken with everyone waiting on someone else to act. We are a ‘real’ small business, and we know what it takes to make a payroll and what it takes to put people back to work. Our Jobs In A Bottle program represents a simple approach to the issue: buy more ‘Made in the USA’ products. This isn’t rocket science or voodoo economics; it is common sense, and it takes intentional action on the part of Americans to buy ‘Made In America’ products when possible.”
The first product from this initiative is a recycled sports water bottle, produced by CPS/Keystone in the U.S. Kippie Helzel, MAS, vice president of sales for CPS/Keystone, says: “In the promotional products industry, innovation and creativity can make any item more purposeful and help achieve any goal. Bill’s idea to take a practical and popular USA-made item, a water bottle, and build a marketing and social awareness campaign around it is brilliant. The Jobs in A Bottle program is a simple but effective approach to getting Americans back to work, and we are proud to be a part of what we hope will become a national priority.”
