PPAI Research’s quarterly sales barometer takes the pulse of the promotional products industry. Monitoring the ongoing trends and movements in sales throughout the year for the supplier and distributor communities, the barometer reveals how sales compare for the third quarter of 2011 versus the third quarter of 2010, and helps predict sales in the fourth quarter of 2011.
The surveys and invitations to participate for the third quarter of 2011 were e-mailed to suppliers and distributors on September 30. They were asked to complete a brief, 10-question online survey about sales percentage increases specific to their company (not actual sales figures). PPAI’s sales snapshot was originally conducted from 2005 to 2008, and it was brought back earlier this year by popular demand. It’s one of the most effective ways to keep an accurate pulse on the industry. Results will be shared in future issues of PPB Newslink and in Supplier Update and Distributor Update.
