Through its “Above and Beyond” recognition program, Chicago, Illinois-based supplier R.S. Owens & Co., Inc. (UPIC: RSOWENS) honored Sandra Thomas, a member of its custom sales department, as the company’s Employee of the Quarter. Earlier named an Employee of the Month, Thomas was presented with the award due to the many contributions she’s made to the company.
Scott Siegel, MAS, president of R.S. Owens, says, “It’s hard to single out one person for recognition, but Sandra has definitely earned this top honor.”
Winners of the quarterly award qualify for the company’s Employee of the Year award. As R.S. Owens is the manufacturer of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Oscar award, the company’s Employee of the Year receives an all-expenses-paid trip to the Academy Awards ceremony, including a walk down the red carpet.
