PPAI’s Quarterly Sales Barometer Needs Your Feedback

How are sales in the promotional products industry? PPAI Research’s quarterly sales barometer monitors the on-going trends and movements in promotional products sales throughout the year. The barometer highlights sales trends for the supplier and distributor communities, such as how sales compare for the second quarter in 2011 versus the second quarter in 2010, and predictions for sales in the third quarter of 2011.

The surveys and invitations to participate for the second quarter of 2011 were e-mailed to suppliers and distributors on July 28. They were asked to complete a brief, 10-question online survey about sales percentage increases specific to their company (not actual sales figures). For suppliers, click here; distributors, click here.

Deadline to participate is August 15, 2011, and all respondents will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Kindle. Winners in the previous quarter’s survey drawing were Jan Tindall of Utmost Marketing & Safety Solutions (UPIC: utmost) and David Shaw of Ace Transfer Company (UPIC: AceTrans). Similar exciting prizes will be available for the future quarters.

“In an uncertain economy, it’s important to get a sense of how the industry is doing on a regular basis,” says Saritha Kuruvilla, PPAI research manager. “The quarterly sales barometer provides a look at critical movements and trends on a quarterly basis.”

PPAI’s sales snapshot was originally conducted from 2005 to 2008, and was brought back earlier this year by popular demand. It’s one of the most effective ways to keep an accurate pulse on the industry. Results will be shared in future issues of PPB Newslink and in Supplier Update and Distributor Update.
