Six North American promotional products companies have joined with counterparts in Asia, Australia, Europe and South America in IGC Global Promotions NV (IGC), an international promotional products company headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
IGC offers global businesses brand consistency and regional appropriateness in the branded merchandise used by their international divisions. Clients can contract with any one of IGC’s worldwide partners and realize purchasing efficiencies, reduce brand risks and receive local services and expertise in cultural preferences and regional marketing requirements.
“The new cooperative, ratified at the IGC Global Promotions annual meeting in China May 1, 2011, delivers promotional product sales, service and product distribution with local personalization and representation,” says Hans Poulis, CEO of IGC Global Promotions. “This strategy provides global corporations an effective international promotional marketing solution. These carefully selected, best-in-class promotional products companies will manage all aspects of global contracts in their respective countries.”
Originally operating as the International Advertising Gift Council, IGC was formed in 1956; offering consolidated purchasing, client service on a global scale and a forum to share ideas and best practices. The new cooperative was formed by 50 companies from 47 countries, each with equal ownership. The North American owners include Montreal, Quebec-based AMR Marketing; Axis Promotions (UPIC: axispromo) in New York, New York; The Promotional Specialists in Toronto, Ontario; Shumsky Enterprises (UPIC: SHUMSKY) in Dayton, Ohio; Siegel’s Corporate Gifts (UPIC: SIEG0001) in Watchung, New Jersey; and Richmond, Virginia’s Target Marketing (UPIC: TARGET).
