EmbroidMe To Hold Breast Cancer Walk
Kingsville, Texas, distributor EmbroidMe-Kingsville and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg will hold the Inaugural Pink Palm Breast Cancer Walk at 10 am October 9 in Kingsville, Texas, at the hospital to commemorate the 25th anniversary of breast cancer awareness month. The walk shows community support for survivors of breast cancer and families who have lost a loved one to breast cancer.
All those in South Texas are invited to dress in pink shirts and help show their support for the fight against breast cancer. The one-mile walk will skirt the grounds of the hospital, and walkers will have access to 10 Pink Palm Stations sponsored by local families and businesses who have been affected by breast cancer.
Local volunteers from Kingsville NAS, Texas A&M University-Kingsville and surrounding high schools will display their pink shirts from EmbroidMe-Kingsville while operating the Pink Palm Stations and encouraging walkers to take a step against breast cancer. Attendees who visit all Pink Palm Stations will be eligible for door prizes at the finish line. To visually show the statistic that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer every year, pink bandannas will be given away to one in eight participants.
