The Upper Midwest Association of Promotional Products (UMAPP) held its third Room Show on August 11 at the Embassy Suites in Bloomington, Minnesota. The show offers 16 meetings with 16 suppliers over an eight-hour time span.
David Hawes, sales rep for Lewiston, Maine, distributor Geiger (UPIC: geiger), ran the government relations counsel booth at the show.
At the show, Hawes presented his “Power of ONE” process to engage your elected representatives:
1) Call your Congressman on the 1st day of each month @ 1:11p
2) Tell them who you are, and why your call is important to them
3) Call one colleague and ask them to follow steps one through three next month
4) Or, do all of the above by e-mail
